FIRST PERIOD

20:00:
Tonight’s game is now underway.

17:09: The first penalty of the game goes to Edmonton, after Mark Fayne received two minutes for interference.

13:20: Oilers kill off the penalty without allowing a shot on goal. Shots almost seven minutes in are 1-0 Edmonton.

11:36: On a delayed penalty, Curtis Glencross wired a shot off the left post behind Scrivens.

11:22: Keith Aulie went to the box for hooking, setting up Calgary's second man advantage of the evening.

5:41: Some aggressive forechecking and good puck possession by Derek Roy caused him to be upended deep in the Calgary zone. Matt Stajan sat for two minutes, giving the Oilers their first man advantage of the night.

3:53: With 13 seconds left in the penalty, Matt Fraser scored from behind the net by banking it off the back of Flames netminder Jonas Hiller. | EDM 1, CGY 0

54.2: Keith Aulie levels Matt Stajan with an open-ice hit. A skirmish resulted afterwards and the result was a five-minute penalty to Aulie for a shot to the head and a game misconduct.

0.0: After one, shots on goal were 7-6 for the Flames.

SECOND PERIOD

20:00:
Period two is now underway.

17:20: Flames come out of the gate on the attack, taking full advantage of a power play to open the frame with six straight shots on goal. A point shot trickled through the legs of Ben Scrivens but the Oilers goaltender was able to recover and smother the puck before it went across the goal line. 

13:02: Joe Colborne gets two minutes for hooking, sending the Oilers on their second man advantage of the evening.

9:32: Jordan Eberle accepted a great feed from Leon Draisaitl, corraled the puck in the slot and wired a wrist shot past Hiller to double the Oilers lead to 2-0. | EDM 2, CGY 0



9:10: Edmonton heads back on the power play after Curtis Glencross takes a penalty.

4:36: Tyler Pitlick lunged at the puck during a scramble in front of the net. He got a stick on it, but the puck weakly slid off the post behind Hiller.

3:02: Pitlick receives two minutes for elbowing, sending the Flames back on the PP.

1:59: Calgary strikes for their first goal of the night. With Scrivens down and out, Colborne lifts the puck over the fallen Oilers goaltender to make it a 2-1 game. | EDM 2, CGY 1



1:50: Johnny Gaudreau rings a shot off the post.

0.0: Shots on goal after 40 minutes are 18-14 for the Flames.

THIRD PERIOD

20:00:
Period three has begun.

15:32: Calgary knotted the game up at 2-2 after Lance Bouma swooped in to backhand a rebound past Scrivens. | EDM 2, CGY 2



14:16: The Oilers call their 30-second timeout.

13:37: Shots on goal almost seven minutes into the third are 5-0 Flames.

10:31: Oilers get their first two shots of the period and make them count. Andrew Ference ripped a shot from the point past Hiller to put the visitors back in front. | EDM 3, CGY 2



8:05: Calgary got back on even terms when Joe Colborne netted his second of the game, slipping the puck through the legs of Scrivens from the top of the crease. | EDM 3, CGY 3



6:59: Hiller snags a shot from Jordan Eberle out of the air.

6:42: Hall gets two minutes for slashing, giving the Flames a power play opportunity to take the lead.

58.8: Jeff Petry and Josh Jooris both head to the penalty box, Jooris for tripping and Petry for embellishment.

0.0: Shots are 26-20 Flames after 60.

OVERTIME

OT begins with the teams playing three-on-three.

3:52: Josh Jooris fires a wrist shot that beats Scrivens glove side, giving Calgary the win. | CGY 4, EDM 3
