16:11: Almost four minutes in and shots on goal are 3-3.

10:53: The most eventful play of the game was a hit by Steve Pinizzotto on Michael Stone along the side boards in the Arizona zone.

7:38: The first penalty of the game went to Jeff Petry after he threw Brandon McMillan to the ground in the slot. Unfortunately for the Oilers, McMillan didn't have the puck at the time so the Edmonton defenceman got two minutes for interference.

5:08: After killing off the penalty, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins carried the puck to the left faceoff circle before wiring a shot past Devan Dubnyk blocker side to open the scoring. Brad Hunt and Justin Schultz got the assists. | EDM 1, ARI 0

3:58: Arizona's Zbynek Michalek heads to the box, giving the Oilers their first man advantage of the game.

0.0: Shots on goal after one period were 10-7 for the Oilers.


Period two is now underway.

18:24: Petry takes his second penalty of the game, this time two minutes for hooking.

14:13: Coyotes have a couple of great chances during the power play and use the momentum to start taking over the game. Shots go from 11-7 Oilers to 16-12 Coyotes during a short period of time.

10:05: Scrivens comes up with a huge stop off Sam Gagner on a rebound in front of the net. Shot count is now 20-14 Coyotes.

9:36: Brandon McMillan wrists a shot from the right circle past Scrivens to finally get the Coyotes on the board. Their 14th shot of the period in only 10:24. | EDM 1, ARI 1

8:00: Taylor Hall gets two minutes for boarding.

4:05: Scrivens continues his strong game, making a flurry of saves. Coyotes now outshooting the Oilers 29-16 with 22 shots in this period.

0.0: Shots after 40 minutes were 33-16 for Arizona. The Coyotes had 26 shots in the period.

17:36: David Perron skates gingerly to the bench after taking a hit from Erat. He did not miss a shift, however.

13:56: Matt Hendricks made his former teammate pay after crunching Sam Gagner along the boards.

13:49: Pinizzotto received two minutes for holding to send the Coyotes back on the man advantage.

9:53: Antoine Vermette heads to the bin, sending the Oilers on the power play after a couple of very impressive shifts. Coyotes only have one shot on goal the entire period after registering 26 in the second. Oilers have eight. 

5:36: With the game still tied 1-1, shots are 35-25 Coyotes.

4:22: Dubnyk robs Taylor Hall after sliding across to deny the Oilers forward on a point-blank rebound attempt.

0.0: After three periods, shots were 40-29 for Arizona. The third period shot count was 13-7 Oilers.

4:20: Justin Schultz made a couple of very nifty moves to get around Coyotes defenders before getting robbed by Dubnyk in-close.
