The Edmonton Oilers meet Vancouver for the fourth time this season and second time in Vancouver. We'll be updating the action from the game as it happens. We'll also be adding photos, videos from big plays and more throughout the game.

The Oilers are going with the same line combos and defence pairings that they had in the last three games but with Nikolai Khabibulin in goal.

Line Combinations (and defence pairings) for the Oilers:

Hall - Nugent-Hopkins - Eberle
Paajarvi - Gagner - Hemsky
Jones - Horcoff - Yakupov
Petrell - Smyth - Brown

Smid - Petry
N.Schultz - J.Schultz
Whitney - Potter

20:00: Tonight's game is now underway.

17:35: Lennart Petrell rifles a wrist shot from the right circle that Cory Schneider has to be sharp in turning away with his blocker.

15:52: Maxim Lapierre pushes Ryan Jones into the boards as the Oilers player tries to knock the loose puck out of his zone. The result was an interference penalty to Lapierre, putting Edmonton on the power play for the first time on the night.

10:50: Vancouver has the Oilers pinned in their own zone for well over a minute as several attempts to clear the puck by Edmonton do not come to fruition. Oilers do keep the Canucks out of the dangerous areas, however, as they only manage one harmless shot on Khabibulin during the sequence.

9:31: The Canucks continued to come at the Oilers. Andrew Ebbett and Tom Sestito both had great chances from in-close but Khabibulin made a couple of big stops.

9:31: Shots on goal past the opening period's midway point were 8-3 for Vancouver.

9:01: Taylor Hall's stick is clutched onto by Henrik Sedin and the result is a penalty to Hall for hooking and Vancouver's first power play of the game.

     That's BS. Sedin chicken-winged Hall !

7:01: Oilers are able to kill off the penalty.

6:49: Magnus Paajarvi gets called for high sticking and the Oilers go back on the penalty kill.

Canucks had a threatening PP, but didn't get pucks to the net. They're about to get another chance. Oilers with just 3 shots so far.

4:55: With 1:07 left in the Paajarvi penalty, Oilers take a Too-Many-Men minor and go down two skaters.

4:39: 16 seconds into the penalty and moments after Jeff Petry was crippled by blocking a shot with his foot, Vancouver scores as Henrik Sedin spots Kevin Bieksa at the top of the left circle for a one-timer blast that beats Khabibulin and gives the Canucks a 1-0 lead. | VAN 1, EDM 0

1:43: Khabibulin makes a pair of nice saves, first on Chris Higgins and then on Alex Edler with the rebound from the slot as Canucks continue to carry the play.

0:00: Shots on goal after 20 minutes were 13 to 5 for the Oilers.

20:00: Second period is now underway.

18:53: Oilers get off to a good start in the period and get some chances in the Vancouver end. It leads to a penalty on Daniel Sedin for hooking and Edmonton's second power play of the night.

Huge congrats to the newest player Jerred Smithson as he welcomed his son Hunter (6lbs 9oz, 19in) to the world today!

16:46: Khabibulin makes a nice glove stop off the rush on Derek Roy.

9:05: Nick Schultz gets two minutes for interference to put Vancouver on the power play for the fourth time on the night.

5:34: Vancouver doubles their lead on a nice three-way passing play between Daniel and Henrik Sedin. Henrik passed the puck behind the net over to Daniel who passed it right across the crease back to Henrik who lifted the puck past a sprawled Khabibulin | VAN 2, EDM 0

2:36: Ryan Whitney gets called for high sticking to put the Canucks back on the power play.

0:00: Shots on goal after two periods were 22 to 12 for Vancouver.

20:00: Third period is now underway.

18:45: Alex Edler receives two minutes for hooking Magnus Paajarvi, resulting in another Edmonton man advantage and a chance to draw within a goal.

18:10: Sam Gagner gets clobbered behind the Vancouver net and skates gingerly to the bench. He takes his next shift, however.

13:13: Derek Roy feeds Chris Higgins off the rush on a nice saucer pass. Higgins makes no mistake, putting it home past an outstretched Khabibulin to make it a three-goal game. | VAN 3, EDM 0

6:30: Vancouver's Dan Hamhuis takes a cross-checking penalty, giving Edmonton another power play opportunity as they attempt to find some momentum on the man advantage.

2:30: Ales Hemsky has a partial breakaway ended abruptly when Schneider knocks the puck away from him.

0:04: Zack Kassian adds a goal to make it a 4-0 final. | VAN 4, EDM 0
