16:19: Nearly four minutes in, Guelph has two shots to Edmonton's one.

16:04: Oil Kings defenceman Blake Orban drops the gloves with Guelph's Ryan Horvat. Both fighters get their share of punches in but Orban is the one who ends up getting toppled over.

11:36: Oil Kings start picking up the pace after Storm take 6-1 lead in shots. 6-3 shot edge for Guelph nearly midway through.

11:05: Guelph's Robby Fabbri (draft eligible 2014) nearly scores after deking out Jarry but just narrowly missed the net on the backhand.

9:36: Kieser gets sent off for cross-checking and Harpur for slashing after a post-whistle skirmish to set up a four-on-four situation.

6:51: First power play of the game goes to Edmonton. Ben Harpur goes off for cross-checking.

4:02: Oil Kings look like they've scored the first goal after crashing the net but after a quick review, it's ruled no goal. 0:59: Aaron Irving gets two minutes for roughing, sending Guelph on the power play for the first time.

Second period is now underway.

18:41: Henrik Samuelsson's backhand attempt from the right faceoff circle somehow found its way past Storm goaltender Justin Nichols to get the Oil Kings back on even terms. | EDM 1, GUE 1

18:14: Just like that, Oil Kings made it a 2-1 game. Curtis Lazar made a great pass to Ashton Sautner pinching in and he made no mistake, tapping it past Nichols for the goal. | EDM 2, GUE 1

17:38: Tyler Bertuzzi gets called for goaltender interference and Edmonton heads on the power play for a second time.

13:36: Griffin Reinhart receives two minutes, sending Guelph back on the power play.

12:20: With 44 seconds left in the Reinhart penalty, Jarry left the puck behind his net to Mads Eller but his clearing attempt went off Rychel and in. | EDM 2, GUE 2

5:08: Guelph regained the lead with five minutes to play in the second. Brock McGinn's shot went off the post and in to make it 3-2 Storm. | GUE 3, EDM 2

3:09: Guelph's Pius Suter heads to the bin for cross-checking.

14:14: Tyler Bertuzzi doubled the Guelph lead, taking the puck through the neutral zone and all the way to the hash marks before wiring the puck top corner. | GUE 4, EDM 2

7:35: Shots on goal were 31-29 Oil Kings with just over seven minutes to play.

6:37: A flurry of chances but Oil Kings can't solve Nichols. Shots now 34-29.

4:11: A turnover at the OIl Kings blueline leads to another golden scoring chance for Guelph. Bertuzzi ripped a shot from the top of the right circle high past Jarry to make it a three-goal lead for the Ontario club. | GUE 5, EDM 2

3:51: Orban heads to the box to give Guelph a late power play.

1:25: Chadd Bauman gets two for interference to end the game with an Oil Kings power play.
