The third period is now underway.

17:12: A ton of pushing and shoving from both sides results in Tanner House getting two minutes for roughing. Nine seconds later Tristan Zahn takes a hooking penalty and suddenly Houston is on a two-man advantage.

15:53: Granlund connects to complete the hat trick. He corrals the puck at the right circle and wires it past Danis and make it a three-goal game. HOU 4, OKC 1

10:51: With Houston back on the power play with Dane Byers in the box, Granlund scores yet again. This time he wires a wrist shot from the right circle past Danis. It's his fourth of the game. HOU 5, OKC 1

6:01: Magnus Paajarvi rushes down the wing and throws the puck in front of Ryan Martindale at the top of the crease. Martindale makes no mistake, wiring it past Hackett for the goal. HOU 5, OKC 2

1:40: Charlie Coyle comes out of the penalty box and breaks in all alone and makes a move to deke out Yann Danis and give Houston a 6-2 lead. HOU 6, OKC 2

The second period is now underway.

15:31: The Barons took their first penalty of the game when Curtis Hamilton was sent off for tripping near the period's five-minute mark.

14:52: Oklahoma City went down two men not long after when Alex Plante got a little too physical with Charlie Coyle in front of the Barons net. Plante received two for roughing for his efforts.

14:41: Granlund nearly got himself a hat trick, picking up a rebound and wiring it off the right post behind Danis.

14:10: After a minute of sustained pressure, Houston finally connected to make it a 3-1 game. Coyle knocked down a bouncing puck and flicked it past Danis. HOU 3, OKC 1

Tyler Pitlick makes a nifty move in the Aeros zone to create a scoring chance. He curls at the left faceoff circle into the slot and wires it off the shoulder of Kuemper.

8:15: Matt Hackett comes in to replace Darcy Kuemper in goal for Houston.

4:47: Magnus Paajarvi outmuscles the Houston defender in front of the net to get the puck in a prime scoring chance. He feeds Josh Green in the slot, whose shot is stopped by Hackett.

1:31: Justin Schultz streaks into the Houston end and cuts in front of the net. He looks like he has Hackett beat but just misses the mark.

25.8: Houston's Zack Phillips takes a penalty for slashing, giving the Barons a chance to draw within a goal.

Tonight's game is now underway.

19:14: Brett Bullmer takes a boarding penalty 46 seconds into the game, giving the Barons the man advantage early.

16:41: After the Aeros kill off OKC's power play, Brian Connelly's delay-of-game penalty puts the Barons back on a five-on-four.

10:24: Aeros start buzzing around the Oklahoma City net as the Barons get caught in their own zone. Eventually, it pays off as Houston's Mikael Granlund gets his stick on a loose puck just outside the crease and pokes it past Yann Danis. HOU 1, OKC 0

9:23: Houston continues on the attack. Another couple of shots on Danis pulls the Aeros even at 4-4 after the Barons initially had a 3-0 edge on the shot clock.

4:02: Brandon Davidson sprints down the left-wing side and wires a shot off the arm of Kuemper. About an inch the other way and it would have found its way into the back of the net.

3:51: The play comes back the other way as Mikael Granlund wires a shot after stepping over the blueline past Danis to double the Aeros' lead. HOU 2, OKC 0

2:51: Just over a minute later, Tyler Pitlick does some scoring off the rush of his own, streaking across the neutral zone and into the Houston end. He wires it from the right faceoff dot to make it a one-goal game. HOU 2, OKC 1

0:00: First period comes to an end. Houston has a 8-7 lead on the shot clock to go with their 2-1 lead on the scoreboard.

The Oklahoma City Barons take on the Houston Aeros for their second and final pre-season game. We'll be updating the action from the game as it happens. We'll also be adding photos, videos from big plays and more throughout the game.

The Barons should have some fresher legs than Houston simply because they have some more players inserted into the lineup. Coming into the game tonight is Cam Abney, Dane Byers, Josh Green, Tanner House, Magnus Paajarvi, Tyler Pitlick and Chris VandeVelde up front. On defence, Trevor Ludwig and Alex Plante draw in.

One change from this morning is Philippe Cornet draws in on the fourth line as Antti Tyrvainen is a bit banged up and can't play.

For Houston, scratches are David McIntyre, Carson McMillan and Kris Fredheim. Darcy Kuemper gets the start in goal.

Line Combinations (and defence pairings) for the Barons:

Paajarvi - Green - Pitlick
Byers - Martindale - Rajala
Hamilton - VandeVelde - Pelss
Cornet - House - Abney
