Hendricks wishes Oil Kings good luck

The Oilers may have their first pre-season, split-squad game on Monday, but before they get a full NHL game in on the ice, the Edmonton Oil Kings will begin their inaugural season tonight against the Red Deer Rebels.

Hendricks, who participated in the Oilers first inter-squad game today, said the Rogers Place ice felt good.

"I have no complaints, it's been great," he said. "It's your typical ice sheet, just like anywhere else, a longer run the more it gets beat up, but I think the more we skate on it the better it's going to get.

"The Oil Kings are playing tonight and [I] wish them the best of luck and [hopefully they] get a big win in the barn for the first time."
