There were few moments in the 2016-17 season that embodied exactly what Milan Lucic can bring more than the one on January 20, against the Nashville Predators.

With his team down 2-1 to the visitors, Lucic delivered a massive shoulder-on-shoulder hit to Austin Watson behind the Oilers net. Lucic came back the other way with the puck and while the play was blown offside, Lucic was able to draw a penalty on Watson - who attempted to exact revenge after the whistle.

Lucic kept his cool, giving the Oilers a big opportunity and 26 seconds of 5-on-3 advantage. While the Oil couldn't capitalize on the 5-on-3, they'd eventually net the equalizer from none other than Lucic himself.

On the power play he drew, Lucic planted himself in front of the Nashville net. Leon Draisaitl dished the puck inside and Lucic buried it to tie the game 2-2.
The power play is one area Lucic excelled throughout the season, finishing third on the team in power-play points with 25, just two behind the co-pack leaders Connor McDavid and Draisaitl. Lucic led the team in power-play goals with 12. It was far and away Lucic's best season on the man advantage. His previous high in points came in 2010-11 with Boston (14). His previous best power-play goal total came in 2011-12, also with Boston (7).
As for his physical play, hits were in no shortage this season for Lucic either. He delivered 202, good for second on the team behind Adam Larsson (253).

Against Nashville, this night in particular, Lucic also dropped the gloves to tango with Cody McLeod - continuing that theme of physicality.
Although the Oilers would eventually lose that game to the Predators 3-2 in a shootout, Lucic's domination sticks out as an impact sequence and one that fans will remember.
