It's not every day that Adam Larsson provides the kind of night offensively he did on April 27. In fact, his two-goal, three-point performance in Anaheim proved to be the first of its kind in his career. The defender had never before scored two goals in a game, let alone tack on the extra assist.

But on this night, Larsson combined with Leon Draisaitl (1-3-4) and Mark Letestu (2-0-2) to help the Oil capture a 5-3 win and 1-0 series lead.
Letestu's two power-play goals gave Edmonton a 2-1 lead, which they kept until Larsson made it 3-1 at 8:03 of the third.

Larsson was trailing on an Oilers rush and picked up a feed in the high slot. He then snapped a wrister past John Gibson for his first tally of the evening.

His second goal would prove to be a much bigger moment for the Oil after Patrick Eaves and Jakob Silfverberg rallied the Ducks back to even the game at 3-3.
Larsson skated coast-to-coast, drove wide and then cut inside before banking the puck off Josh Manson at 15:20 of the final frame. The goal gave Edmonton a 4-3 lead.

As if his two-goal night wasn't impressive enough, Larsson tacked on an assist on the insurance goal at 18:55. The Draisaitl tally would be enough to close out the exciting 5-3 victory.
Larsson, 24, is entering his second season with the Oilers. In his first campaign with the club, Larsson posted four goals and 15 assists for 19 points in 79 regular season games. In the post-season, Larsson had two goals and four assists in 13 games.
