Oilers goalie prospect makes 54 saves in 2-1 loss to Hamilton Bulldogs at Memorial Cup

EDMONTON, AB - Oilers goalie prospect Stuart Skinner stopped 54 of 56 shots and was named the first star of the game in the Swift Current Broncos' 2-1 loss to the Hamilton Bulldogs on Monday at the 2018 Mastercard Memorial Cup.

The Edmonton, AB, product kept his club in the game from the drop of the puck, with Hamilton outshooting Swift Current 56-22.

Skinner has continued his dominant play at the event, owning a .937 save percentage and 2.96 goals-against average.

The Broncos are 0-1-1-0 in the Memorial Cup, losing their opening game 4-3 in overtime to the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

Swift Current play the host Regina Pats on Wednesday at 8:00 PM MDT.
