EDMONTON, AB - Another week of Division 1 domination meant another weekly honour for Oilers forward prospect and University of Denver standout Carter Savoie.

Edmonton's fourth-round, 100th-overall selection from the 2020 NHL Draft delivered a five-point weekend for the Pioneers as they swept Western Michigan, scoring two goals and an assist on Friday and two more goals on Saturday to give him four multi-tally performances in 10 games already this season.

Savoie scored both of his goals during Saturday's game in a span of 20 seconds in the second period, the third-fastest consecutive goals by a DU player in the last 20 years.

For his efforts, the 19-year-old was selected as the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) Forward of the Week for the second time in 2021-22. Savoie scored seven points in two games against Air Force on Oct. 15-16 to earn his first Forward of the Week honour of the season.

Savoie now has 10 goals and seven assists on the year to rank him second in the NCAA in goals and points per game. The St. Albert native and former standout forward with the AJHL's Sherwood Park Crusaders scored 13 goals and seven assists in 24 games as a freshman last season.
