End of the season

by Tom Gilbert / Edmonton Oilers
I don't even know what to write about right now but I figured I should probably do some kind of end of season summary. Obviously we're all really disappointed with the way things turned out. It was a roller coaster season, even more than last year. It's just really disappointing especially since we were playing probably our best hockey towards the end but we just came up short in a lot of games.

This morning we took a team picture and then a picture with all the staff. Then we went back into the locker room and packed up all our stuff. That's always a tough day. Now we'll all be watching playoffs which is the worst.

I have an opportunity play in the World Championships right away so that's pretty cool. It's in Switzerland so that should be fun. Then after that we're going on a family vacation to Cabo and then I'll be going back home to Minnesota. That's about all I have planned so far.

It was a lot of fun doing this blog. It's nice to let the fans know what we do in our everyday lives outside of the hockey rink and I hope you liked the updates as well. I enjoyed reading your comments and I'll do my best to keep in touch during the summer.

Thank you for all your support this season and have a great summer.
