Edmonton Oilers Hockey Clinic Presented by EnCana Arrives In Bonnyville

Ninety young hockey players from the northern Alberta region will participate in the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Clinic at the Bonnyville Centennial Arena from May 1st – 3rd, 2009. The Edmonton Oilers have partnered with EnCana to provide this free clinic which received interest from hundreds of young hockey players across Oil Country.


The boys and girls aged nine to 13 who were randomly selected will participate in this two-day clinic aimed at improving their hockey skills through a number of on-ice drills, off-ice drills and team building activities.  The Oilers Community Staff, Hockey Alberta and Hockey Canada members will be on site throughout the program ensuring that students will learn what it takes to be their best, while also having fun.

To kick-off the festivities, a free community BBQ is being held at the Bonnyville Centennial Arena on May 1st, 2009 at 5:30pm. All Oilers fans in Bonnyville and area are invited to come out to join the festivities which will feature a slap shot competition, street hockey games and entertainment.
