(December 20, 2013) Edmonton, AB – The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) is proud to announce its 2013 Christmas Funding totaling over $210,000. The funding went to organizations across Northern Alberta who focus their activities on education, health and wellness for youth.
“Our Christmas Funding supports the excellent work of organizations throughout Oil Country,” said Natalie Minckler, EOCF Executive Director. “This time of year, with many people in need, we offer our gratitude and thanks to our many fans and supporters. Their generosity allows us to make a positive impact in our community. Thank you also to our staff, our hockey team and all those who donated and lent a hand to support our fundraising efforts”.

The EOCF is dedicated to building strong and vibrant communities by contributing its resources and financial support to charitable organizations that serve the residents of Oil Country. The EOCF has worked to change lives in Oil Country through their support of a host of deserving organizations. The Foundation gives back in excess of $1 million annually to registered charities throughout Central and Northern Alberta who focus their activities on youth, education and health and wellness.

Since 2001, the EOCF has gifted more than $22 million to over 2,700 organizations in Northern Alberta.
