by Staff Writer / Edmonton Oilers
The Edmonton Oilers and EPCOR will welcome Olympic Silver Medallist Mens Curler Don Bartlett to Rexall Place on Thursday, March 15th, when the Oilers meet the Minnesota Wild.

As part of EPCORs Parade of Champions, Don will give local fans the opportunity to see his Silver Medal up close, which Don won at the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic Games, along with teammates Kevin Martin, Don Walchuk, and Carter Rycroft. Fans will also have the opportunity to meet Don during a second intermission autograph session.

"Were honored to have Don Bartlett join us at Rexall Place for another EPCOR Parade of Champions," said Patrick LaForge, President & CEO of the Edmonton Oilers. "Dons achievements on ice are something Oilers fans can appreciate, and we look forward to saluting his silver medal performance in the 2002 Olympics."

"Dons outstanding contribution to his sport is a source of pride for all Canadians," said Denise Carpenter, EPCOR Senior Vice-President of Public and Government Affairs. "Our Parade of Champions program is part of a larger community investment strategy by EPCOR to provide amateur sports federations with the funding they need to develop Olympians like Don. The goal is to send more Canadians to the medal podium in Beijing and Whistler."

Don Bartlett played lead for Kevin Martin from 1990 until his recent retirement. With Martin, Bartlett has been to seven Briers and has won two Canada Cups. Internationally, Bartlett has been to two Winter Olympics and two World Curling Championships, including a Silver Medal performance at the 1991 World Curling Championship.

EPCOR is an Official Supplier to the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and an Official Supplier to the Canadian Olympic teams in 2008, 2010 and 2012. EPCOR and GE are also co-sponsors of the Gold Medal Plates program, the proceeds from which support the Canadian Olympic Foundations Own The Podium and Road to Excellence initiatives.

Limited tickets are still available for Thursday nights game against the Minnesota Wild at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at, or by calling 414-GOAL.
