Chase Wraps up Good Camp with Goal

by Chris Wescott / Edmonton Oilers

During the 2013 Rookie Camp we wrote a story on Oilers Prospect, Greg Chase, who was out to show the Edmonton brass he was more than just an agitator.

Chase performed admirably this past week. In four games throughout Rookie Camp, Chase recorded two goals and an assist. He also got in a few scrums and showed some physical play.

Chase wrapped up his camp after a 4-3 loss to the University of Alberta tonight, in which he scored a goal.

“I think what I wanted to show in rookie camp is that I can do both (be physical and score),” said Chase. “When I’m with my team in Calgary (Hitmen), I think I try and do both. Help out offensively and play that (agitator) role. I thought I did that well this camp. I thought I showed all I could and hopefully I stick around for main camp.”

Chase was the 188th overall pick (7th Round) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
