Changes to Oilers on-air radio & TV line-up

by Edmonton Oilers Press Release / Edmonton Oilers
The voice of the Oilers, Rod Phillips, announces a game at Rexall Place earlier this season.
There is an old saying in sport, “you can’t tell the players without a program’, which could be true for Oilers TV and Radio followers so we‘re giving fans an update regarding our on-air lineup for the next several games.

Oilers Hall of Fame radio voice Rod Phillips will have his feet up for the next five games as he takes his second well-deserved break of the season.  Bob Stauffer will slide into the play-by-play chair tomorrow night in Anaheim and the following night in Los Angeles with Kevin Karius of Global Television providing colour commentary.

This weekend, Bob Stauffer will team up with Rob Brown on the Oilers Radio Network and 630 CHED for the final radio broadcast prior to the Olympic break. Bob Stauffer and Kevin Karius will again be at the microphone for the Oilers at Nashville and Oilers at Chicago games on March 2 and 3 following the Olympics.

This weekend when the Oilers host the Anaheim Ducks on Oilers PPV (broadcast start time is 4:45 pm, Sunday, February 14), Gene Principe will be doing the play-by-play with Louie Debrusk as colour commentator and Kevin Karius as the broadcast host.

The Oilers final game prior to the Olympic break will commence at 5:00pm on Sunday, February 14.

Edmonton Oilers hockey is presented in part by the Rexall Family of Pharmacies, Molson Canadian, ATB Financial, TELUS, Cenovus Energy and Ford.
