The Edmonton Capitals 6-4 win over the Yuma Scorpions last night tied the Golden Baseball League’s 13-game winning streak record set in 2005. Tonight you can be part of history when the Capitals take on the Scorpions to blow apart the GBL record.
Not only could the Capitals break GBL history, but they could also tie Edmonton professional sports history. The Edmonton Eskimos set the 14-game winning streak across the 1954 & 1955 football seasons and over half a century later, no team has ever met this benchmark.
Fans at TELUS Field tonight will also be winners. If the Capitals break the GBL record and tie Edmonton’s record, all fans at the game will be able to show their ticket stub to redeem two for one tickets to any Capitals game this season.
It’s Safeway Fireworks Friday and the light show will be queued and ready to go at the end of the game.
The first pitch will be thrown at 7:00pm, be part of history tonight at TELUS Field.
