Canada Day with the nation's finest

Street hockey proved to a popular event during the Canada Day celebration at the Edmonton Garrison.

The Edmonton Oilers spent Canada Day celebrating with the Canadian Military at the Edmonton Garrison and residents from Edmonton and surrounding area.

Crowds throughout the day were entertained by musical acts, military fly overs, kids activities and much more.

The Oilers arrived with their Big Rig, street hockey setup, Oilers Fanboni, video games and lots of giveaways.  Members of the Oilers Octane also made an appearance in the afternoon and were busy talking with fans and posing for photographs.

"The Edmonton Oilers and the Canadian Military have always shared a special relationship," stated Trevor Murphy, Director of Community and Consumer Partnerships for the Edmonton Oilers.  "These men and women do so many wonderful things for our country and we are pleased to celebrate Canada Day with them."
