BLOG: Three practice days over

Oilers used their three practice sessions this week to re-assess the team's work ethic, systems and prepare for the Ottawa Senators

EDMONTON, AB - No more talking practice, man.

Three consecutive practice days have ended and the Oilers can finally set their sights on the Ottawa Senators, who will visit Rogers Place Saturday.

"It was nice to re-establish some things," said Oilers forward Mark Letestu. "I think we all feel good about it. The first couple of days were pretty tough. Now, we're back to the systems and preparing for our opponent today. We all feel pretty good about what we did, what we accomplished and we're ready for tomorrow's game."

Letestu - who believed the video sessions were productive this week - alluded to the message the players were given from the coaching staff.

"The messages weren't veiled, they were pretty direct," said Letestu. "Guys got it. We're professionals here, we want to win hockey games and he's trying to get that out of us. We earned what we got the last three days and it's on us now to change the narrative."
