It was a wild scrimmage on Sunday in front of a strong gathering of Oilers fans with this day of training camp open to the public as Team White defeated Team Blue 6-5 in a shootout after coming back from a 5-1 lead.
"Ironically, we were working on defence and defensive zone coverage and that type of stuff. And all of a sudden we've got a 10-goal game," said Oilers head coach Todd McLellan. "It was nice to see the offence coming out. I thought some of the higher-end players really took charge of the scrimmage today and had an impact on it."
Cam Talbot allowed three goals in the first half for Team White and Eddie Pasquale surrendered four in the second half for Team Blue.
"It was a little bit of a tougher day for the goalies," McLellan commented.
