BLOG: Talbot reveals new mask

Oilers goaltender Cam Talbot revealed his new mask design ahead of the 2017-18 campaign

by Paul Gazzola /

Cam Talbot ain't afraid of no ghost.

The Oilers netminder unveiled his new mask for the upcoming 2017-18 season on Monday and it displays a slight modification to the trademark Ghostbusters logo, a theme he's been known to don in the past.

Tweet from @EdmontonOilers: The finished product has arrived!

Talbot's mask features two ghosts on its left side. Both clinch baby soothers, while one is decorated with a baby bow and eyelashes - depicting the starter's twin children Landon and Sloane.

The bucket was designed and painted by David Gunnarsson, a professional artist and well-known mask designer.

The headgear also contains the orange slime from Talbot's previous helmet, in addition to what appears to be a wooden goalie stick separating the Talbot Twins ghosts - who turn one in October.

Just in time for Halloween.
