EDMONTON, AB - The Edmonton Oilers took to the ice on Boxing Day at Clare Drake Arena for their first practice following the holiday break.
Forwards Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Ryan McLeod and Devin Shore all participated in the skate after clearing the NHL's COVID protocols.
Zach Hyman skated on a line with Warren Foegele and Connor McDavid, while rookie defencemen Philip Broberg and Dmitri Samorukov were present at practice after being recalled on an emergency basis from the Bakersfield Condors on Sunday afternoon.
Forward Zack Kassian did not take part in the practice after being placed into COVID protocol late Sunday afternoon, while defenceman Duncan Keith, Darnell Nurse, William Lagesson, and forward Jesse Puljujarvi all remain in COVID protocol.
