EDMONTON, AB - Anton Slepyshev is expected to make his season debut Monday against the Winnipeg Jets.

"Anton will likely play his first game tomorrow and we expect him to have a good outing," Oilers Head Coach Todd McLellan said Sunday.

Slepyshev suffered an ankle injury before the regular season which limited his skating during Oilers Training Camp.

On Sunday at practice, the winger was skating on the second line with Milan Lucic and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. The Russian is done waiting and simply wants to get into a game.

"On the ice, the ankle feels OK," he said. "I feel pretty good and I'm ready to play."
