The pair of leaders in the Oilers locker room have been teammates for seven seasons and know instinctively they'll be the first ones pairing up to set the tone at practice when the theme turns towards battle drills and 1-on-1 competition.
"At this point, it's just second nature," defenceman Darnell Nurse said. "If there's a battle drill, we don't even have to look at each other. We just know where each other's going to go and we go at it."
