EDMONTON, AB - The Oilers have acquired a 2021 sixth-round pick from the Pittsburgh Penguins after prospect defenceman John Marino signed a two-year entry-level contract on Friday.
Marino's rights were traded to Pittsburgh back on July 26 for the conditional sixth-round pick that would be awarded if the defenceman signed an entry-level contract with the Penguins, or if his rights were traded to another NHL club, prior to the start of the 2021 NHL Draft.
The Oilers now hold eight picks, including two sixth-rounders, at the 2021 NHL Draft.
