Oilers prospect Cameron Hebig has been acquired by the Regina Pats in the WHL.
Saskatoon traded Hebig and goaltender Ryan Kubic to Regina, in exchange for goaltender Tyler Brown, forward Bryan Lockner, a first-round pick in 2020, a second-round pick in 2020, a third-round pick in 2019, and a third in 2021.
Hebig is having a career year this season, scoring 30 goals and recording 28 assists in 40 games for the Blades. The Oilers signed the 20-year-old forward to a three-year entry-level deal in December.
Hebig will play at the 2018 Memorial Cup in May, as Regina is the host team.
On Tuesday, another Oilers prospect was on the move.
Swift Current acquired goaltender Stuart Skinner, Giorgio Estephan, and Tanner Nagel from the Lethbridge Hurricanes. In return, Lethbridge received seven pieces, including four players, a first-round pick in the 2020 Bantam Draft, a third-round pick in 2020, and a conditional second-round pick.
Skinner has an .897 save percentage and 3.38 goals-against average in 31 games this season.
