EDMONTON, AB - The Oilers haven't celebrated many victories early in 2017-18 but that doesn't mean they won't come.
The club is currently 3-6-1 with seven points on the season in the first 10-game segment of the campaign. Last year, they were the complete opposite, jumping out the gate with a 7-1-0 record.
But it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. Following their hot start, Edmonton went 2-7-1 in their next 10-game circuit.
"What's interesting and it's sometimes not a good idea to balance it this way: last year - and I prefer not to talk about last year anymore because every year is different - We started out 7-1-0 and then we went 2-7-1 in our next ten games," said Oilers Head Coach Todd McLellan.
