It's not the end to the season that anyone expected or hoped for but the Oilers have stayed very upbeat and positive as 2017-18 winds down. It's paid off in both on-ice performance and results.
"We've been playing well. We set ourselves up for a good road trip after that Florida game. We came out a little slow but the way we finished was something to build off of. Yesterday I thought we played really well. We answered early and all the lines were going. That's a good sign," Jujhar Khaira began.
"It's awesome. Makes it easier to go out there and play, just smiles everywhere. That's what the game's all about. To get a win like that."
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins agreed with Khaira.
"Lately we've been playing really well. We've been having fun out there. The guys are loose right now just going out there and playing," he stated.
"We need to keep this attitude going. Nothing really fazes us right now. Obviously it's something that we would have liked to put together earlier in the season but it can still end on a high note and take a little bit of confidence out of the season."
