BLOG: Oilers recall Bachman and Lander

UPDATE: Oilers head coach Dallas Eakins stated that Dubnyk has a minor ankle injury and Bachman will start tonight.

The Oilers announced this morning that they have recalled goaltender Richard Bachman and forward Anton Lander from the Oklahoma City Barons.

Lander, who was recently named captain of the Barons, has six points this season (2 goals, 4 assists) in 8 games. In 67 career NHL games, Lander has two goals and five assists for seven points and 14 PIM. Last season, he suited up with the Oilers for 11 games and had an assist.

Lander was Edmonton's second choice, 40th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Richard Bachman has a 2.37 goals-against average and .925 save percentage this season with the Barons and a 3-4-1 record.

Bachman has played 32 career NHL games and has a 14-10-1 record. He has a 2.94 goals-against average and .901 save percentage with one shutout.

Bachman was originally signed by the Oilers on July 6, 2013.
