The 5-foot-11, 196-pound, right-shot winger was taken in the second round, 37th overall, of the 2012 NHL Draft. He is a native of Stockholm, Sweden.
His best professional season came in 2016-17 with the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League, where Aberg scored 31 goals in 56 games.
