March Madness isn't just about basketball.

The NCAA Hockey Tournament got under way Friday, with a pair of Oilers prospects colliding.

Harvard Crimson defenceman John Marino competed against Providence Friars rearguard Vincent Desharnais.

The Crimson defeated the Friars 3-0 to advance to the quarterfinals.

Both players had one shot on goal in the game but were held off the scoresheet.

Marino was taken in the sixth-round (154-overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft. Desharnais was selected in the seventh-round (183-overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft.
