EDMONTON, AB - The Oilers currently have the 31st-ranked penalty kill in the National Hockey League with their 68.2 percentage.
The squad is aware they need to improve while down a man.
"It's small details like letting them (opposing teams) make little plays or whether it's not being in the lane," said defenceman Darnell Nurse of the team's penalty killing deficiencies.

Edmonton gave up two power-play markers against the Carolina Hurricanes Tuesday. While the small details remain a focus, the club also knows they need to play disciplined.
"You got to stay out of the box and give ourselves a chance to not kill so much," Nurse continued. "As a group, I know we'll clean that up. We have to rise up to those opportunities and keep the puck out of our net."
