EDMONTON, AB - Ever wanted to train like Captain Connor?
McDavid and NHL alumnus turned high-performance fitness guru Gary Roberts have teamed up to help hockey fans stay in shape during this period of self-isolation by releasing a series of 15-minute at-home workouts.
McDavid posted the first video via his Twitter and Instagram profiles on Monday, with the debut exercise sequence including 10 body-weight squats, a 45-second wall-sit, 10 push-ups and 30-second split-squat holds on each leg.
He and Roberts recommend repeating the series four times during the 15-minute span. They said they'll be releasing new workout videos throughout the month of April.
McDavid has conducted his off-season training with Roberts since 2012, prior to his first year with the Ontario Hockey League's Erie Otters.
