EDMONTON, AB - Connor McDavid was heralded as the best centreman in the National Hockey League by the NHL Network yet again, edging Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby in their Top-20 Centers list.
"They are both so great but they both a little bit different," NHL Network analyst Mike Johnson said. "They create their offence, which is what they're known for, a little bit differently."
McDavid posted his third-consecutive triple-digit season in 2018-19, scoring 41 goals and 75 assists for 116 points. He finished the year tied for sixth in goals, second in assists and second in overall points. No. 97 also finished tied for second in game-winning goals with nine.
