EDMONTON, AB - Don't worry.
Be happy.
The Oilers are 1-3-0 in the first four games of the 2017-18 campaign but the team isn't swallowed in sorrow.
"We just have to lighten up a bit," said Oilers forward Pat Maroon Sunday. "We just have to know that we still have 78 more games left. We can't sit here and feel sorry for ourselves."
The club is currently on a three-game losing skid but the belief within the Oilers Dressing Room remains strong.
"It's tough for guys right now because you lose three in a row and some of us are not scoring," Maroon continued, acknowledging the importance of spreading good vibes.
"We just have to find ways to lighten up, lighten up the mood, come to the rink with a good attitude and put a smile on your face. It's a long season, we're still in a good situation right now."
The Oilers play the Carolina Hurricanes Tuesday at Rogers Place.
"We're not in a bad situation and this is easy things that we can fix," said Maroon.
