Team Finland has announced its first 16 players on their World Cup of Hockey roster. Oilers winger Lauri Korpikoski has made the list.
The Turku, Finland native has played 54 games for the Oilers this season, scoring six goals and adding nine assists.
Korpikoski, 29, has represented his country at various levels, including World Junior U-18s, World Junior Championships, World Championships and even the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
Korpikoski has two bronze medals with Finland, at the 2006 World Juniors and in Sochi.
The winger was originally selected 19th overall in 2004 by the New York Rangers. Edmonton acquired him from Arizona on June 30, 2015 in exchange for Boyd Gordon.
