EDMONTON, AB - After piecing together two consecutive quality outings, Jujhar Khaira will not be in the Oilers lineup Thursday versus the St. Louis Blues.
"Jujhar will not play today but it has nothing to do with his play," said Oilers Head Coach Todd McLellan. "If he was healthy, he would play. He would play a lot of minutes. He's earned that right but he has an upper-body injury that occurred in that last game."
Khaira is on a two-game point streak, scoring Sunday against the Washington Capitals then nabbing a pair of helpers Tuesday when the Vegas Golden Knights visited Rogers Place.
