Former Edmonton Oilers Head Coach Clare Drake has been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in the Builder Category.
Drake has been a fixture in university hockey in Canada, spending 28 years as head coach of the Alberta Golden Bears, winning six national championships.
"I am truly humbled to be elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame" said Drake. "As a Canadian university hockey coach, this honour is truly special."
The remaining 2017 inductees are Dave Andreychuk, Danielle Goyette, Paul Kariya, Mark Recchi, Teemu Selanne and Jeremy Jacobs.
