PITTSBURGH, PA -The Oilers anticipate that Drake Caggiula and Leon Draisaitl could be cleared as early as tomorrow for the team's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins. However, that's still up to the players and the doctors.
But that didn't stop both forwards from working hard in practice on Monday. They both participated in every drill and every situation, including power play. Draisaitl was on the top unit, while Caggiula was on the second.
"I feel pretty good," said Draisaitl. "Felt pretty good the last couple days. Happy to be out there with the boys and hopefully it won't be much longer. We'll see how I feel tomorrow and then we'll go from there."
"More than happy to be out there for a full practice and fully participate," said Caggiula. "Still have to see how the rest of the day goes and see how tomorrow goes, don't know for sure if I'm playing or not, but I'm feeling pretty good and have been practicing now for a little while. There will be some rust for sure but I've been trying to practice and keep up as much as I can."
