The Edmonton Oilers have assigned Mark Arcobello to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League and have recalled rookie defenceman Oscar Klefbom.
Arcobello has played in 20 games this season for the Oilers, scoring two goals and adding 10 assists. The 25 year-old leads all NHL rookies in assists and is tied in points. The forward has played both centre and on the wing for Edmonton this season and ranks tied for third on the team in points.
Klefbom, 6-foot-3, 213 pounds, earns his first NHL call up after playing 12 games in OKC and registering one assist. He was selected 19th overall in the first round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Defenceman Justin Schultz remains out with a groin injury.
