Although the Oilers have moved forward Mark Arcobello to the wing, with the return of Sam Gagner, he may still chip in on draws for the team.
Now on a line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins at centre and David Perron on the right side, Arcobello could take face-offs if his new centre has a slow start in the dot.
"It will be good if maybe 'Nuge is having a little bit of trouble, I'll slide to jump in and help out," said Arcobello. "We'll see how he starts off taking draws and if he asks me to take a couple, I'll be more than happy to."
The centre says it is good to have a player like Arcobello on his line with the versatility he has to make the jump to the wing and chip in when needed.
"Mark's been playing awesome so far this year," said Nugent-Hopkins. "We're all super pumped to see that, especially with Sam being out. We needed somebody to step in and pick it up for him and that's exactly what happened with Mark. The fact that he can jump over to the wing and be effective, which we know that he can, is a big positive sign for him."
When Edmonton and Toronto last faced off of October 12, Arcobello finished the game with a 75% face-off win percentage while Nugent-Hopkins finished at just 47%.
