BLOG: A disappointing homestand

by Chris Wescott / Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers lost their sixth-straight game tonight, their fifth straight at home. The Oilers players were notably frustrated with how they closed out their homestand.

“It was a good opportunity for us to have five games at home,” Ryan Nugent-Hopkins said. “We didn’t take advantage of it. We thought tonight really ended off the way we’ve been playing the last few games. It’s unacceptable. You can’t go down 3-0 in this league. It’s impossible to come back against a team like that. We’ve done it in the past little while a few times now. It can’t happen and we have to move forward onto the road trip.”
