Hockey Canada announced on Monday that 38 of Canadas best junior-aged hockey players (born in 1987 or later) have been invited to take part in Canadas National Junior Selection Camp from December 10-15, 2006 at the Father David Bauer Olympic Arena in Calgary, AB.
Among those players invited is Edmonton Oilers prospect Andrew Cogliano. Cogliano, a member of Canada's gold-medal-winning entry from last season, had a goal and four assists in six games with Team Canada at the 2006 World Junior Hockey Championships.Click here to view Hockey Canada's press release and a list of all 38 attendees
Cogliano has already matched his goal total from all of last season with 12 for the University of Michigan. He also has 10 assists and is fourth on the team in total points.
This past weekend, Cogliano registered the first hat trick of his collegiate career on Dec. 1 against Western Michigan. He added two more goals on Dec. 2 versus the Broncos.
