by Edmonton Oilers Press Release / Edmonton Oilers

(Edmonton, AB) – The Edmonton Oilers announced today additional tickets are being made available for the team’s 1984 Stanley Cup Reunion presented by Molson Canadian. To accommodate demand for the event, scheduled for Friday, October 10 at Rexall Place, seats located behind the stage are being released for sale Tuesday, September 30 at 10:00 AM. Adjustments to the configuration of the stage has allowed for unobstructed viewing from these seats.

“The passion of Oilers fans has resulted in incredible demand for the 1984 Stanley Cup Reunion,” stated Oilers President & COO Patrick LaForge. “The new stage set-up will allow even more Oilers fans to take in what will be an incredible, unforgettable evening, and allow us to get closer to our fundraising goal.”

The 1984 Stanley Cup Reunion presented by Molson Canadian is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join the 1984 Championship team and staff, including Oilers legends Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Paul Coffey, Jari Kurri, Grant Fuhr, Glenn Anderson and Glen Sather, for an evening of storytelling and memory sharing.

In honour of the ’84 team, who laid the foundation for the dynasty that followed, the Edmonton Oilers will create a legacy in the community. Net proceeds from the Reunion will be directed to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, specifically for the creation of a new Pediatric Ambulatory Clinic. Pediatric ambulatory care includes over 120,000 visits annually where children see pediatric specialists on an outpatient basis.

Tickets for the 1984 Stanley Cup Reunion presented by Molson Canadian originally sold out in less than one hour. The new behind-the-stage, unobstructed-view seats will go on sale to the public Tuesday, September 30 at 10:00 AM at and all Ticketmaster outlets. All ticket fees generated for the event will in turn be donated to the fundraising cause by Ticketmaster.
