(Edmonton, AB) - Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) announced today the addition of a star-studded roster to the celebrity lineup teeing off alongside Mackenzie Tour - PGA TOUR Canada professionals during the 2nd Annual Celebrity Pro-Am. This exciting event helps kick off the Syncrude Oil Country Championship presented by AECON tournament week to be played at Edmonton's Windermere Golf and Country Club on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

The prestigious Windermere Golf and Country Club will be an exciting spot for all the action as Mackenzie Tour pros golf alongside the celebrities on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.
Following the Celebrity Pro-Am, eight celebrities will be participating in the tournament's Celebrity Horse Race - an exciting specialty event which will have eight teams competing in a fun, crowd-pleasing alternate shot, elimination format that will provide loads of entertainment for all sports fans. Each team will consist of a celebrity and a Mackenzie Tour professional.
Both the Celebrity Pro-Am and Celebrity Horse Race, like the entire Syncrude Oil Country Championship presented by AECON, will be in support of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF), who will direct net proceeds to the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation in support of its Pediatric Procedure Room. The Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation promotes rehabilitation and provides financial support for the enhancement of patient care, education, research, equipment and technology development at the Glenrose.
"This year's Celebrity Pro-Am is shaping up to be a great day for golf and fun on the course with old and new friends. Hopefully tons of fans come out to spend the day with us and of course, help us raise important funds for the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation," said Honorary Tournament Chair and Oilers Alumni Grant Fuhr. Beyond the Celebrity Pro-Am, the official Oil Country Championship tournament days will run from August 3-6, 2017. Daily tickets can be purchased for $20 or a weekly pass is available for $75.
