Well, that's the long and short of it.

A photo of 5-foot-4 Columbus Blue Jackets forward Nathan Gerbe and 6-foot-9 Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara went viral after the two teams played on Tuesday night.

As the players gave chase to the puck, a photo was snapped at the perfect time

Gerbe, who appears to be roughly one-third of Chara's size in the shot, made a quip on Twitter about the photo being altered.

Tweet from @NathanGerbe14: This is photoshopped right? 🤣 #nhl pic.twitter.com/gfIjSHqIet

The veteran of 10 NHL seasons got a good laugh at the photo of him skating in front of the League's tallest player.

However, Stinger, the Blue Jackets mascot, said he found the original photo of the encounter which was definitely not altered at all.

Tweet from @StingerCBJ: definitely photoshop... I found the original online! pic.twitter.com/BEvD3hqVHR

Remember kids, it's not how big you are, it's how big you play.
