Zack Dailey scores winner as Everett tops Tri-City Americans 5-2 @NHLdotcom

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Zack Dailey knocked the puck away from Brett Plouffe at the Tri-City blue-line, went in all alone on goaltender Chet Pickard and scored the winning goal with 3:38 left in regulation to lead Everett to a 5-2 WHL victory Tuesday night over the Americans.

Tied 1-1 heading into the third period, the Silvertips scored four goals in the final frame, including two by Dan Gendur.

Jason Reese and Taylor Procyshen scored for the Americans, who had their three-game win streak snapped.

Shane Harper and Matt Ius also scored for Everett, which got 24 saves from Leland Irving. The Silvertips won their nine-game series with the Americans 6-3.
