Zach Boychuk scores shootout winner as Lethbridge beats Red Deer @NHLdotcom

RED DEER, Alta. - Zach Boychuk scored in a shootout Saturday to give the Lethbridge Hurricanes a 4-3 WHL win over the Red Deer Rebels.

Carter Ashton, Colton Sceviour and Mitch Fadden, with the tying goal at 18:40 of the third period, scored regulation-time goals for Lethbridge (39-17-2-3).

Brennen Wray, Troy Ofukany and Luke Egener, with his first of the season, replied for Red Deer (17-39-4-3).

Hurricanes netminder Juha Metsola turned aside 17 shots, and then stopped all three Red Deer attempts in the shootout. Morgan Clark made 35 saves for the Rebels.
