Zach Bogosian scores the shootout winner as the Petes beat the Generals @NHLdotcom

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Zach Bogosian's shootout goal snapped a six-game losing streak as the Peterborough Petes beat the Oshawa Generals 4-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night.

Petes' goalie Trevor Cann made 51 saves and stopped all three Oshawa shootout attempts including John Tavares on the final shot.

Yves Bastien's third period shorthanded goal tied the game to force overtime. Justini Soryal and Bogosian also scored for the Petes (9-8-0-1).

Brett MacLean scored twice in regulation for Oshawa (12-5-0-3) while Brett Parnham also scored.

Darryl Borden stopped 32 shots for Oshawa.
