Yuen scores in overtime, Americans complete four-game sweep of Silvertips @NHLdotcom

EVERETT, Wash. - Zach Yuen scored 18:53 into overtime, and the Tri-City Americans completed a four-game sweep of the Everett Silvertips with a 4-3 victory Wednesday night in their Western Hockey League first-round playoff series.

The Americans kept tired Silvertips skaters on the ice as they worked the puck around, eventually finding Yuen at the top of the left circle. His one-timer found the top corner to end the series.

Brendan Shinnimin, Mason Wilgosh and Mitch Topping also scored for Tri-City, while Ty Rimmer earned the win in goal with 42 saves.

Ryan Harrison, Ryan Murray and Josh Caron scored third-period goals as Everett rallied from a 3-0 deficit to force overtime. Caron's goal, which tied it, came with just 40.4 seconds remaining.

Kent Simpson made 35 saves in goal for Everett, which was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs for the fifth straight year.
